The Senior Accountant supporting Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) activities plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting of SG&A activities under U.S. GAAP, supporting month-end close activities and driving process improvements across the SG&A function. The Senior Accountant supporting Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) activities plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting of SG&A activities under U.S. GAAP, supporting month-end close activities and driving process improvements across the SG&A function. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and brings strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process for SG&A-related general ledger accounts:
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and allocations.
- Analyze period-end activity and explain financial statement variances with supporting documentation.
- Reconcile SG&A-related general ledger accounts through sub-ledger tie-outs, account reconciliations, and prepare schedules supporting balance sheet and income statement activity, ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements; participate in process documentation and audits.
- Identify and support automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of accuracy and ownership.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player who is flexible and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
