Staff Systems Administrator
This role is an onsite / hybrid role based at the Shift4 Las Vegas, NV location. Relocation assistance may be available.
Responsibilities :
- Provides technical support to internal staff in support of client payment infrastructure within a collaborative and positive working environment interacting with team members at all levels.
- Handles day-to-day VMware vSphere operational tasks including but not limited to : Performance analysis of overall system health, Disk and Network management, configuration, and troubleshooting, apply software updates and deploy new systems, troubleshooting performance or configuration issues on virtualization platform hardware
- Train and mentor junior IT staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills to effectively manage IT systems, and to keep up with technological advancements.
- Windows OS installation and configuration
- Linux OS (RHEL) installation and configuration
- Database administration with MS SQL / Postgres
- Utilizes a variety of technology tools and procedures to respond and resolve internal and external customer issues
- Ensure that all incident tickets and change records are fully documented, planned,
- resolved, and executed on time and per the expectations and within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Design and implement upgrades, new systems, and software applications to meet changing business needs, in collaboration with other IT professionals and departments.
- Help create and maintain KB process documentation for change management planning and troubleshooting purposes.
- Ensure that Payments Infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to protect critical information in the event of system failure.
- Manage incident / task workflow, prioritize requests, and maintain transparent communication.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
