Java Financial Applications Developer
This contract has an initial duration of six months with a likely extension
Key skills : Java, heavy Capital Markets (pref Derivatives or Equities) - need people who have directly developed trading platforms. Murex would be a plus
Location is New York City (hybrid : 2-3 days in NYC)
Any visa status is fine
Senior candidates needed
Local candidates needed (likely video interview for now, but subject to change)
This is for a foreign securities trading firm
Skills required :
- 5 years Java 8
- Equity trading and Stockloan platforms
- Spring framework / Spring boot
- WebServices / REST API / Micro Services
- Messaging, multi-threaded processes, understanding of design patterns
- basic understanding of application security (ssl, certificates)
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, iterative / agile environment
- Able to work independently
- Solid coder
- junit, mockito
- Financial background
