Description :
Project : Accounting Transformation "Project Action" MDM Clean Up (identify Problems / strategize solutions). Hiring 1 MDM Architect & 1 MDM Configuration focused role. Both very senior. Recently brought in a 3 rd party consulting agency to do an assessment (aligned with internal assessment). Business is now on board - and is funding this project (you!)
Challenges :
- Internal Master Data management team (all data entry - not architecture / config in house)
Order to Cash is similar to MDM
With multiple acquisitions, and SAP integrations - MDM is "mess". Need someone to do a deep dive, review assessment,- make tweaks, look at partner configurations, identify how to prevent duplicates, new customer set up, requirements, pricing configurations, reduce risk of human error.With Acquisitions customers, pricing, and multiple processes created issues. Project timelines were quick but there are discrepancies ( Some customer overlap, credit policies, pricing discrepancies, commitments to customers that new SAP owners were unaware of. "well I was told if I pay early, than I get 1% discount "4k Vendors (indirect / direct) with diverse customers (patients, clinics, distributors, to hospitals) with 3 main LOBs ( Wound, Surgical, Pain Management)very complex MDM - no single "happy path" for customers.Note - Strong SOD (Segregation of duties), no one person can develop and push to production. We have a separate offshore team that pushes to production (SDLC requires validation)R equirements
