ShiftMed is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate certified nursing assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you'll play a vital role in providing patient care in various healthcare settings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a passion for delivering safe and effective care. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Measuring patient vital signs accurately
- Notifying the nursing supervisor when patients report pain
- Assisting patients with ambulation and proper bed positioning
- Identifying and communicating abnormal findings to the nursing supervisor
- Providing timely documentation that's accurate and organized
- Helping bathe and groom patients
- Feeding patients and documenting intake
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a certification from an accredited CNA training course
- Be actively licensed as a CNA in the state where you plan to work
- Have at least 1 year of acute care experience as a CNA
- Be able to push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
- Have physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
- Pass an annual physical examination
- Have negative TB test results
- Hold BLS in CPR
- Have basic computer skills
- Be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations
