Job Description:
We are looking for skilled and knowledgeable Proposal Writers with proven experience in developing successful bids for government contracts in mental health, psychiatry, and psychological services. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing proposals in compliance with RFP/RFQ/RFI guidelines, particularly for agencies such as HHS, DOD, VA, DOJ, ICE, and state/local health departments.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, review, and analyze relevant RFPs and contracting opportunities.
- Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical proposal content.
- Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to develop proposal strategies.
- Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and proposal best practices.
- Manage timelines and submit proposals by required deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience writing and winning government proposals, particularly in healthcare/mental health sectors.
- Strong understanding of federal and state procurement processes.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with SAM.gov, FedConnect, eProcurement portals is a plus.
Preferred:
- Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
- Familiarity with 8(a), WOSB, and small business certifications.
- Background in grant writing is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive and negotiable based on experience (hourly or per-project).
