We are looking to fill this position for the summer with the best and brightest who are seeking opportunities for future growth and advancement. This entry level position is a great way to launch your career in counseling, mental health, social services, psychology, behavioral health and human services as a counselor, therapist, mental health technician, mental health therapist, mental health counselor and substance abuse counselor.
Compensation: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $23.00-$28.75 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. Compensation is based on location/shift:

Schedule:
- Temporary Duration: May to August 31
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Opportunities:
- For those seeking continued employment after the temporary position ends, there may be opportunities for transition to other roles within our organization. This could involve different schedules, locations, or client populations, depending on business needs and individual preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Work with MA level Clinicians and Special Education Teachers on a daily basis
- Collaborate within the framework of the client's treatment team in the completion of instructional activities and behavior management
- Implement treatment plans and individualized education plans in an appropriate manner as directed by the client's clinician and teacher
- Implement and maintain structure within the program and create/follow a routine
- Provide intensive supervision, documentation, and organization
- Utilize strong verbal de-escalation and positive strong boundaries
- Basic meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Conduct daily room inspections and15-minute bed checks with a focus on safety and security
- Transport clients to and from school, activities, appointments, etc.
- Attend treatment team and required training
- Responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression
- All other tasks as assigned

Requirements
- Must have a professional mentality
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree and/or 2 years experience working with the youth
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English languages is preferred
- Must be at least 23 years of age (will consider 21 years of age)
- Must be able to pass several criminal background checks
- Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one
- Must meet agency MVR criteria
- Due to the short length of stay for these clients, mastery of direct care skills are a must
