As a Tooling Manufacturing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining dies in a production-ready status at all times, capable of producing quality stampings. Your expertise in analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, and setting up machines will be vital in ensuring the success of our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up, and operates machine tools to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials required and machines to be used for fabrication.
- Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
- Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts and verifies conformance to specifications.
