Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all production processes. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and improving product quality, as well as enhancing the overall effectiveness of the quality system.
This position requires a strong understanding of Shiloh's quality systems and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have experience with quality-related processes, including inspection, design, testing, and integration.
- Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration of production processes to ensure product quality.
- Communicate with customers to ensure their needs are met.
- Prepare FMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP submissions and approvals.
- Train personnel in procedures, work instructions, and product acceptance standards.
- Evaluate the need for gauge templates and implement them as required.
- Audit the quality system and documents obtained during quality assurance activities using statistical process control methods.
- Support the achievement of customer targets for PPM and customer complaints, with a target of single-digit PPMs.
- Contribute to the successful launch of new programs.
- Help drive the LCCS methodology throughout all operations to achieve productivity targets.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality or related field.
- 7-10 years of quality-related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Understanding of Shiloh quality systems.
- Certified internal auditor for quality systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead a team through the process.
- Microsoft Office, IQS, SQPack, GAGEpack, and TOOLS proficiency.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient in gage calibration and MSA requirements.
