This is a full-time on-site role as a Medical Records Case Reviewer at ShimSpine.com in Oldsmar, FL. The Medical Records Case Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

MEDICAL RECORDS CASE REVIEWER
It’s the details that matter! ShimSpine is looking for a motivated, team player with critical thinking skills to join us as a Medical Records Case Reviewer. As part of our team, you will be using a patented, industry-leading software application to prepare, review and analyze medical data. Our ideal candidate will have proficiency in using a computer and navigating multiple software environments. Familiarity and direct experience with reviewing summaries of medical records is a plus. Prior background working in the medical field including direct patient care, preferably in a specialty practice, solid knowledge of medical terminology and outstanding grammatical skills are required.

Duties and Responsibilities
· The primary requirement is ability to read, understand and prepare medical records for developing case summaries.
· Must have a solid understanding medical terminology.
· Excellent computer skills including ability to navigate various software applications.
· Attention to detail and accuracy of work is a must.
· Must be a team player with strong communication skills and commitment for quality improvement.
· Strong work ethic. Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
· Willingness to continually learn new medical knowledge and new concepts.
· Must be able to stand/sit for long durations on a daily basis.
· Position requires strong grammatical and proofreading skills.
· Prior experience preparing medical record summaries is a plus.
· Applicants with experience as a litigation paralegal for personal injury and medical malpractice cases would be considered for this position.
·Those with direct patient care experience, credentials as a medical professional (LPN, RN, Medical Assistant with specialty practice experience) for 5 years and/or experience working as a paralegal/legal assistant with a history of preparing medical summaries are encouraged to apply.
