Job Summary: Shipping & Receiving is responsible for receiving materials and supplies from vendors and shipping materials to customers and vendors.

- Receive incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
- Inspect incoming materials according to quality and/or department standards and label accordingly.
- Put incoming materials and supplies in appropriate storage locations in a timely manner.
- Redistribute to other plant locations as needed.
- Release raw materials in a timely manner to meet production needs.
- Prepare shipments for internal and external customers.
- Creates BOLs, DG documents, Packing Slips, Labels and other documents as required to process shipment.
- Communicates with customers, transportation companies, 3pls and freight forwarders to arrange outbound shipments.
- Processes freight invoices for payment.
- Monitors inventory levels of supplies and requests fulfilment purchase orders.
- Work with supervisor and Material Handlers to create area specific warehousing locations for all materials.
- Manage projects as assigned within the department and company.
- Work with the Logistics department as needed to ensure department and company success.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Maintains all documentation required for record retention policies.
- Follows all quality, safety and environmental standards.
- Attendance is mandatory for the last two weeks of the calendar year for inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2 years’ related experience handling hazardous chemicals at a chemical manufacturing company strongly preferred.
- Experience operating PIT (Powered Industrial Truck), a.k.a. forklift
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must pass and maintain PIT operator certification
- Ability to pass DOT and RCRA annual testing.
- Computer literate working with Microsoft Office.
- Oracle or other ERP system experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate (verbal and written) effectively.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to wear all required PPE.
Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily in an inside manufacturing and warehouse facility.
- The role routinely operates a PIT/forklift.
- The position can be exposed to high and low temperatures and noises.
Physical Demands:
- Remains seated driving a tow motor.
- Lifts up to 60 pounds.
- In contact with silicone rubber, powders, fluids.
- Stands up to 8 hours/day or more.
- Performs twisting, bending, stooping motions.
