Shine Bright Behavioral Health specializes in behavior analysis (ABA) treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in their home and community settings. We are looking for a diagnostician to join our team to conduct diagnostic evaluations and prescribe written orders for services for individuals who may have autism in the greater Phoenix area. The diagnostician will be responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments and / or written orders for children and adolescents referred to our agency for developmental, behavioral, medical, and psychological challenges.
- GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct autism spectrum or psychological assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports
- Provide feedback to clients after evaluations
- Communicate with team members during the evaluation process as needed
- Provide written orders for applied behavior analysis treatment for qualified new clients and for continuance of services.
- Other duties as assigned
- Work Experience :
- Two-three years’ experience, in which a significant portion of time has been spent in diagnosing ASD
- Experience administering various standardized diagnostic measures, as well as psychological and autism spectrum assessment tools to diagnose and / or rule out autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge / Skills
- Proficiency in the following psychometric instruments :
- ADOS-2
- ADI-R
- CARS
- GARS-2
- Vineland-2
- SRS-2
- ABAS-3
- WISC-V
- Extensive knowledge of DSM-5
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with families, schools, and ASD service providers in child’s community
- Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
- Required Qualifications :
- Education : Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure : Current, valid license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Arizona (or license-eligible).
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
- Skills : Strong diagnostic skills, knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with children who have autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma, or other developmental disorders.
- Familiarity with school-based mental health services.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
