Job Summary:

The Infant-Toddler Specialist is responsible for the content development of resources, job aides, training, and other support related to research-driven best practices in Infant-Toddler care and education. The Specialist will collaborate with instructional designers to create, modify and deliver all related topical content for providers, which includes digital content in addition to live training and cohort coaching sessions. In addition, the Infant-Toddler Specialist will interface with coaches to provide specialized content support and training to meet their coaching needs. Lastly, the Infant-Toddler Specialist will be called upon to provide group or cohort coaching sessions as well as one-on-one intensive coaching for providers who are experiencing acute needs with respect to this topic.

**The location of this position is in Wisconsin (remote)**

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the creation of all infant-toddler related content that aligns to the professional development needs for providers in Wisconsin.

  • Supervises the quality of and acts as a subject matter expert for all digital, workshop style and coaching content relating to infant and toddler care.

  • Supports providers caring for, or planning to care for, infants and toddlers.

  • Conceives, designs, develops and facilitates in-person training content (e.g. workshops, webinars, professional learning communities) and facilitates group cohort and one-on-one coaching sessions.

  • Provides professional development to coaches to support their knowledge and expertise and can provide acute support to specific providers in various circumstances.

  • Analyzes provider engagement with all relevant content and determines strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Contributes to the development of other early childhood content as needed.

  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Two Credentials in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Related Area.

  • 5 years of experience in the Infant Toddler field including experience in teacher coaching, supervision, and providing training or technical assistance.

  • 3 years of experience in authoring early childhood specific to infant-toddler related content and developing and facilitating professional development content in various formats.

  • Specialized training around implicit bias, anti-bias ECE programming, equity, inclusion, or related areas.

  • Experience teaching or coaching in an ECE classroom/program setting.

  • Recognized as a Master Trainer and/or Approved Consultant through the Wisconsin Registry’s Professional Development Approval System upon hire or within the first year of employment.

  • Experience working with a variety of ECE program types, including, at a minimum, both family and group child care.

  • Experience developing, implementing, and/or participating in a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) in a program and/or local, regional, or state level.

  • Fully Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.

  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

  • Travel required locally or long-distance, but mostly within Wisconsin, up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
