Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Care

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions targeting specific developmental, communicative, and functional goals.
  • Collaborate with families to create home programs and ensure carryover of therapeutic activities.
  • Continuously monitor and document progress toward treatment goals.
  • Improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, and coordination.
  • Create therapy plans to enhance mobility and functional independence.
  • Implement interventions for orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and adapt therapy plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other therapists, educators, and medical professionals to provide well-rounded care.
  • Documentation and Compliance

  • Complete all documentation accurately and within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Shine's internal policies.
  • Professional Development

  • Engage in continuing education to remain current in best practices and emerging therapies.
  • Mentor or supervise therapy assistants, interns, or techs as needed.

  • Qualifications :

    Education and Certification :

    Physical Therapist : Doctorate in Physical Therapy; current licensure in TN.

    Skills :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage children in creative and interactive therapy activities.
  • Expertise in age-appropriate developmental milestones.
  • Experience :

  • Preferred : 1 year of pediatric therapy experience (new graduates considered).
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands :

  • An active and engaging therapy environment requires physical movement and creativity.
  • Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs as needed for therapeutic interventions.
