Echocardiographer

Job Summary

The Echocardiographer will be responsible for performing echocardiograms to assess heart function and assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions. This role will be crucial in providing accurate imaging for patient care within a Level II Trauma Center.

The full-time position is Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Requirements of applicants: Must meet the education requirement for Echocardiography Sonographer certification with either RDCS, CCI or ARDMS .

Duties

• Conduct echocardiograms using sonography equipment
• Collaborate with cardiologists and physicians to interpret test results
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures and patient information
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, radiology, cardiology, physiology, and anatomy
• Maintain proficiency in aseptic techniques during procedures
• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures as needed
• Monitor patients using telemetry during imaging sessions

Experience

• Previous experience as an Echocardiographer or similar role preferred
• Proficiency in echocardiography techniques and equipment operation
• Familiarity with cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Certification in Sonography or related field is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
