Job Overview
As a Patient Care Technician at our healthcare facility, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. You will work in various clinical settings such as medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, and Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
Pay details:
$27 is for Local candidates
$36 is for Travelers
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Perform basic nursing procedures under the guidance of registered nurses
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with working in diverse clinical areas such as PICU, OR, and Inpatient units
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Patient Care Technician training program
Must have Michigan State license
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $36.72 per hour
