What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Assistant position at Shiner Law Group?
Boca's Premier Personal Injury Law Firm, and official partner of Florida Atlantic University, is on the hunt for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. This position is intended for someone who loves litigation over PreSuit, and wants the opportunity to learn and grow into a Litigation Paralegal role. We are willing to mentor/train the right candidate.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- 3 years PI PreSuit experience
- Bilingual Spanish speaker, a huge plus!
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PDF
- Experience in SmartAdvocate case management, a huge plus!
Role includes, but is not limited to:
- Litigation support from complaint thru Trial
- Request and respond to Discovery
- Scheduling
- Calendar and monitor deadlines
- Requesting Records & Bills through the Records Dept.
- Requesting and tracking reductions and waivers with Settlement Dept
- Monitoring Medicare, Medicaid and Health Lien updates

- Comfortable in a paper-lite system
- Excellent attendance history
- Proactive approach to case management
- Solid communication skills in a collaborative team environment

- Excellent time management and efficiency skills
- Positive attitude with an outgoing personality
- Ability to follow pre-established processes, but.... Innovative enough to communicate ways to make the processes even better!!
