Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Generalist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various financial functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Duties:
1. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with various departments to create annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in long-term financial planning and projections.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and track outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with vendors and customers to address financial issues.
4. Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and assist in maintaining sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Assist with cash forecasting and tracking of company funds.
- Ensure optimal cash management practices are followed.
5. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations on cost reduction, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required by senior management.
6. Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Support the external audit process and assist with compliance reporting.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as operations, sales, and HR to understand financial needs and support business strategies.
- Provide financial guidance and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Miscellaneous:
- Participate in special financial projects and initiatives as needed.
- Stay up to date with financial trends, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks), and other financial tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
