Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, making them feel welcome.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a point-of-sale system.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively assist guests.
Qualifications
- Proven customer service experience in a food service or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
