Warehouse Operator

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator will be located at our Wilmington Warehouse, located in Leland, NC. The selected candidate will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and assist in the general operation of the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

1. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

2. Maintain an accurate running inventory list.

3. Safely drive forklift, moving inventory throughout the warehouse including top-hatting material.

4. Restock supplies and inventory; place blanket and special orders as needed.

5. Accept, verify, inspect, and record all deliveries according to policy.

6. Prepare the loads for the all shipment according to correct working flow.

7. Records, reports, and returns defective items.

8. Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.

9. Handle complaints related to shipments; notify supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.

10. Perform other duties as assigned by the management of the department. Job duties may change at any time with or without notice.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Proficient with inventory control systems.

3. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations.

4. Forklift Operator license required.

5. Excellent organization, time, management, and attention to detail skills.

6. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and

arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must lift or move products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may occasionally require longer work hours and weekend work.

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Travel:

Travel, if needed, is primarily during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be necessary.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
