Analyzer Technician
Reports to:
Analyzer Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates and performs maintenance activities such as repairs, calibrations, and improvements of analyzer systems throughout the site.
Manage work requests from Operations, and engineers inside and outside the department.
Read and interpret P&IDs, spec sheets, and loop drawings.
Ensure environmental analyzers are maintained in compliance and company standards.
Maintain and update analyzer department documentation.
Assist with contractor coordination and construction projects.
Ensure PM documentation and work orders are properly completed and documented.
Available for call-outs and overtime as needed, including Major Turn Arounds.
Ensure all safety training is up to date.
Qualifications and Experience:
Technical Instrumentation/analyzer degree preferred.
Three years preferred experience working with industrial process analyzers.
Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and failures of analyzers and perform corrective actions.
Understand and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, drawings, and P&IDs.
Knowledge of the following analyzer systems; CEMS, Gas Chromatographs, IR/UV analyzers, TDLs, Moisture, colorimeter, gas detectors, high temp oxygen analyzers, and water and gas sample systems.
Need to be computer proficient In Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits.
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, and with others in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Regularly required to push, pull, bend, climb, and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations.
Occasionally required to stoop and kneel.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, feet, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
Required to be medically certified for respirator and medically fit for duty.
Use of PPE required in specific areas.
Work in different weather conditions, under emergency conditions, and for prolonged periods of time.

Chemical Manufacturing site, in the presence of chemicals
