We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent guest service and meet sales goals for our business. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make guests feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify guest needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential guest issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that our guests leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability. This is a physical job that requires lifting and carrying boxes of all sizes.
We are committed to developing our team members and will provide training to become a Notary for the State of Maryland, proficient in printing and some design. We care about quality of life and publish schedules three weeks in advance. With proven results, leadership, and initiative, this position could lead to a management position.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct guests
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, and after-sales services)
- Answer guests' questions about specific products/services
- Cross-sell products, including cards, gift cards, and shipping supplies.
- Ensure racks are fully stocked
- Get guest packages ready to be shipped
- Make copies, print business cards, menus, flyers & other materials
- Coordinate with other team members to provide excellent guest service (especially during peak times)
- Inform guests about discounts and special offers
- Provide guest feedback to the Store Manager
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or other work in a hospitality-focused business.
- Comfortable checking out guests, and using register terminals.
- Familiarity with using a laptop computer
- Familiarity, and comfort with Microsoft Office and Google.
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- High school degree, some college preferred.
- Management or leadership experience preferred.
- Working in a shipping, printing or copy store is a plus.
