What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL position at ShipIt?
ShipIt, shipping 2.7 million orders a year, is here to fulfill, meet, and exceed customer expectations.
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Director of Quality Control to join our shipping team in Hurricane, Utah. The Director of Quality Control will be responsible for creating highly proficient team members that improve the overall quality of the company’s products and services.
What you will do:
- Ensure all of the organization’s products are correct
- Make sure the Quality Control division is properly staffed by training all team members
- Oversee that all team members are in their proper area
- Ensure word clearing, two-way communication, and correction programs are used properly
- Ensure the organization has a standard library with all materials and resources available for training and correction
- Issue certificates for team members that have completed their standards checklist and passed their examinations
- Gain high production from all Quality Control team members
- Design trainings for all team members within the company
- Create improvements within the company where deviation from policy or employee responsibilities have occurred
What you must bring:
- Managerial experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Ability to uphold policies and procedures
- Strong leadership skills
- Understands the goals and direction of the company
Pay: $50,000 to $70,000 per year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
