Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of retail operations, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing inventory control, including stock management and product placement.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures.
• Support retail sales initiatives by engaging with customers and promoting products effectively.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions to enhance store performance.
• Train, develop, and motivate team members to achieve individual and store goals.
• Collaborate with the store manager in executing promotional activities and merchandising strategies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for both employees and customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a retail environment is preferred.
• Strong background in cash handling and financial management practices.
• Familiarity with retail sales techniques and inventory control processes.
• Proven ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and build relationships.
• Knowledge of training development practices is a plus.
