Senior Manager, Loss Prevention & Safety

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Loss Prevention and Safety (LP&S) to join our team at ShipMonk. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of loss prevention, safety, and risk management initiatives within our fulfillment center operations. This individual will play a critical role in developing and implementing processes and policies required to ensure the safety of our employees, security of assets, and minimize operational risk across domestic and international locations.

What you’ll do:

• Analyze data and trends related to loss prevention, safety, and risk management to identify key areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
• Establish, lead and manage loss prevention and safety initiatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to on-site stakeholders in order to drive a culture of safety and risk awareness.
• Manage and improve a comprehensive loss prevention program to minimize inventory shrinkage, theft risk, and fraud within the fulfillment center operations.
• Manage and improve comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of fulfillment centers to identify potential safety hazards and security vulnerabilities, and partner with local leadership to execute actions to address issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement training programs that promote safe work practices, accident prevention, and emergency preparedness.
• Oversee the investigation of workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Support and manage relationships with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Support the budgeting process for loss prevention & safety across the organization, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve organizational objectives.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, risk management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record of at least 4 years of experience in a senior safety and loss prevention leadership role, ideally within a large-scale fulfillment or distribution network or similar operational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices in safety management and loss prevention.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of safety and loss prevention professionals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a focus on proactive risk management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in using common analytical and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs), Asana, etc. required, with an emphasis on the ability to extract insights and actionable information from data.
• Proficiency in using safety management software, incident reporting systems, and data analysis tools.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) are preferred but not required.

Travel & Working Location

• Travel up to 20% may be required
• Preferred working locations of Las Vegas, NV, Pittston, PA or Forth Worth, TX.
• This is an on-site role with limited, hybrid work-from-home potential only.
