Building Caretaker Key Responsibilities:

1. Custodial & Cleaning Duties:

• Clean common areas in multi-family buildings including hallways, stairwells, and entryways.
• Window and door cleaning, garbage cleanup, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, including deep cleaning tasks.
• Perform commercial cleaning to maintain high cleanliness standards.

2. Exterior Groundskeeping (as needed):

• Perform seasonal tasks such as shoveling, snow blowing, and lawn care.

3. Tenant Satisfaction:

• Respond quickly to maintenance requests, ensuring tenant safety and satisfaction.
• Communicate tenant needs and concerns to management promptly.

4. Additional Duties:

• Help with general porter duties and industrial cleaning when required.
• Ensure all areas remain clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Communicate needs of the building and/or tenants to the Building Manager
• Other tasks and duties, assigned on as needed.

Building Caretaker / Custodian Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or residential cleaning roles.
• Experience in light maintenance tasks (e.g., painting, plumbing, floor care).
• Must live in Duluth, MN or surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing stairs and working in confined spaces.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a smart phone.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Work Environment:

• Setting: Primarily on-site at our properties in Duluth, MN.
• Physical Demands: Involves lifting, standing, walking, bending, and navigating stairs or confined spaces.
• Outdoor Work: Some tasks may require outdoor work in various weather conditions.
