Job Title: Line Cook
Division: F&B
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Executive Chef, Sous Chef
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for preparing food for guests by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares food for guests under direction of sous chef and executive chef.*
- Follows recipes.*
- Adheres to food safety and sanitation standards.*
- Maintains a positive and professional opproach with coworkers, staff and guests.*

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
One year related experience and/or training.
Certificates and Licenses:
Connecticut food handlers license
Equipment:
General kitchen equipment and tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Time management

- Ability to deal with high pressure fast paced environment
- Advanced culinary skills
