Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pool Cleaner & Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in both residential and commercial pools, ensuring that all areas meet our high standards and state mandated requirements.. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Duties
- Perform pool cleaning tasks: skimming, brushing, vacuuming, cleaning the filter, testing and balancing water chemistry, and shocking the pool to maintain a clean and healthy swimming environment in both residential & commercial pools.
- Perform hot tub cleaning and water testing.
- Have or obtain license for commercial pool testing from the State of Maine, if you do not have this license company will pay for the online class.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Assist with pool cleaning and maintenance as needed, ensuring safe and clean swimming environments.
- Provide service technician support by performing minor equipment repairs when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols while handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Preform pool openings and closings for the season.
- In off season will be responsible for snow removal, salting, and sanding for residential and commercial properties.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience with pool cleaning & maintenance preferred.
- Familiarity with hot tub cleaning and maintenance techniques is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively use power tools and hand tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift over 40 pounds.
- Valid Maine driver's license.
- Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
- Willing to train the right applicant.
