The Salesforce Solutions Architect works as a hands-on practitioner. You will find yourself delivering standards, patterns, and designs to First Horizon s technology organization, as well as diligently engaging with the teams of developers who are implementing them! Your scope of influence will include (but is not limited to) stability, observability, portability, SDLC management, and producing technical requirements and solution designs that align to business requirements. You will join the frontline in ensuring we can meet the bank s business needs while producing a modern, digital banking stack.
Primary Responsibilities:Manages solution design from conception to delivery
Primarily responsible for producing architecture documentation for business applications as assigned and as projects and programs of work dictate
Maintains First Horizon s Systems Documentation Inventory as a member of the Enterprise Architecture COP (Center of Practice)
Partners with lines of business, delivery teams, and SMEs to produce and refine technical requirements
Designs both the components and interactions within solution architectures that will deliver intended business outcomes
Collaborates with architects in other domains (Data, Security, Infra, Cloud, DevOps) to produce consensus and governance across solutions
Leads solution design workshops and emerging technology POC workshops
Validates 3rd Party/Vendor Solutions
Work collaboratively with the EPMO and other stakeholders to align IT strategy and planning with First Horizon s business goals and objectives
Builds and maintains relationships as a technical advisor with influential decision-makers in First Horizon's Technology Organization
Works with development teams to ensure delivered solutions align with architectural standards, principles, and patterns
Works with technology leaders to include technical debt initiatives to portfolio roadmap
Ensures the quality and performance of Salesforce systems and applications, and collaboratively ensures the quality and performance of systems and applications which are integrated to Salesforce
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
(2 ) years of Salesforce architecture experience
(4 ) years of Salesforce app development experience
(7 ) years of application development or software engineering experience
Experience with technical documentation like interaction diagrams, process diagrams, network topologies and other architectural content
Experience with Agile and Waterfall methods
Certifications/Licensures:
Salesforce Certified Developer and/or ArchitectAbility to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Skill with design patterns and familiarity with brokering them into business requirements and, ultimately, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives
Skill with Business Process Notation and/or UML and using them to define and refine business processes
Hands-on-the-keyboard depth of knowledge in Apex and one or more other popular programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Go, Node)
Knowledge of application security design principles and techniques (OWASP, etc.)
Experience with Enterprise-level integration platforms like IBM ESB, WSO2, etc.
Working knowledge of modern Operating Systems (Linux/Windows)
Working knowledge of Networking Principles
Working knowledge of modern DevOps tooling and CI/CD
Understanding of public cloud service providers (AWS, Azure) and their IaaS offerings (e.g. API Gateways, Server less Compute, Virtual Private Networking, Elastic Data Pools, NoSQL, Key Managers, Load Balancers, Blob Stores, Indexing Services, etc. )
