Senior Network Engineer / RF Engineer

"Test and evaluation related activities, including:
1) Test and Evaluation processes, methods, documentation (e.g. test plan, Verification Requirements Traceability Matrix (VRTM), test procedure and test report development and review) and test conduct
2) Participating in product /system / service tests and demonstrations which include informal (dry-run) and formal test and evaluation activities, troubleshooting, data collection and data analysis
3) Reviewing system and/or product level specifications to determine requirement validity and testability
4) Hands on testbed experience, with experience in at least one of the following: testbed establishment (e.g. the physical, interface and installation requirements), testbed maintenance or testbed operations"
The physical, data link, network, transport and application layers of the Open System Interconnection (OSI) and TCP/IP reference models
Voice compression theory and principles
"Voice over IP (VoIP) knowledge related to European Civil Aviation Equipment
(EUROCAE) Document (ED)-137 (Interoperability Standards for VoIP ATM Components) "
Voice over IP (VoIP) protocols/standards, with experience in at least one of the following: Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGoogle Cloud Platform) and Real Time Protocol (RTP)
VoIP test equipment (with experience or training in at least one of the following Call Manager, Abacus, Impairment Emulators, Voice Quality Testers, GL Communications products (MAPS, VQUAD, VQT, and Packet Broker), SPIRENT VOTER, etc.)

Must Have:

Years of Experience - 15

Hands on experience with analog and/or digital VHF and/or UHF radio design, development and/or test

LabVIEW/Test Stand Automated Test Suite training and/or experience

Microwave radio systems

"Modulation schemes with experience in at least one of the following: Differential Eight Phase Shift Keying (D8PSK), Eight Phase Shift Keying(8PSK), Frequency Shift Keying (FSK), as Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), 16-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (16-QAM) "

"Network tools (with experience in at least one of the following: Sniffers, Traffic Generators and Network Simulators) "

Printed circuit board design and fabrication

Providing verbal and / or written status of assigned tasks

"Radio frequency characteristics including frequency response, in-band linearity, impedance, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio

(VSWR), output power, intermodulation, isolation, noise figure, gain, link margin, dynamic range, selectivity, and interference "

Radio frequency components including switches, attenuators, amplifiers, filters, mixers and circulators

Radio propagation and antenna theory applications

Requirements experience with experience in at least one of the following development, analysis and/or verification

Router / switch network configuration and maintenance training and/or experience

Satellite communication systems and applications

Software development; for example, analysis, design, coding, integration and validation of software / operating systems with experience in at least one of the following: C, C , Java, Linux, Python, real-time operating systems, embedded systems and object-oriented methodologies

Supervising / directing the work of lower level personnel.

System hardware and/or software interfaces (with experience in at least one of the following: development, review or verification of system interfaces, Interface Control Documents and / or Interface Requirements Documents)

Communication protocols and technologies with experience in at least one of the following: RS-232, RS-422, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET), General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB),Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and Frame Relay.

Communication / telecommunication site surveys and facility installations

Communications test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators protocol analyzers, transmission impairment measurement sets, oscilloscopes, Radio Frequency (RF) power meters, and communication system analyzers / testers

Configuration Management of software products and / or hardware products

Design, configuration and troubleshooting of radio frequency (RF) systems
