Job Summary

The Senior Buyer will lead the Americas Direct Procurement for the launches of Contract Manufacturing and Packaging components for NARS complexion, blush and skincare. This role will drive cost savings through the regions, collaborating with the Brand’s financial organization to ensure alignment.

What You Will Do

• You will lead new launch management of NARS complexion, blush and skincare.
• You will identify categories to benchmark historical performance and forecast future price movements, communicating necessary adjustments to plan.
• You will work with business partners to identify brand needs through activities such as implementing alternative suppliers, alternative services and category innovation.
• You will lead RFX efforts, negotiation of supply agreements and commercial agreements where needed.
• You will manage and support new launch activity through quotations and lead time, onboarding of new suppliers, capacity analysis, quality concerns, etc.
• You will work on new innovations in the category.
• You will work with functions to develop global strategies and create synergies across the organizations.
• You will work with business partners to create and execute strategies for the category.
• You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop processes and tools.
• You will develop annual cost savings, cash improvement, lead time improvement and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for year-over-year improvement.
• You will develop and monitor the use of appropriate KPI’s to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the procurement organization.
• You will maintain and manage systems and all relevant system data.
• You will build strong working relationships with key stakeholders such as Marketing/PD, Direct Procurement, Suppliers, New Product Development, Quality and S&OP.
• You will help the department manage approximately $40 MM USD spend across current suppliers and work with new suppliers to qualify them in our supply chain.
• You will drive change through the region to meet the needs of the business.
• You will deliver year over year cost savings that improve the gross margin of the brands.
• You will Improve working capital to increase free cash flow.
• You will prepare the organization for the future needs of the consumer, whether it is skills, tools, or systems.
  
  

Who You Are

• You have a 4-year academic degree, MBA a plus.
• You have procurement certificates (Preferred).
• You have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience operating in a procurement role, ideally in the cosmetics/consumer goods industry.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• You have advanced Excel skills.
• You are proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages.
• You have 1-2 years of experience working within a procurement tool (SAP, Ariba etc.) environment at an advanced level.
• You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
• You are team oriented and collaborative.
• You are action oriented and drive for results.
• You are customer focused, including the ability to collaborate and support business goals and objectives.
• You can travel as needed to visit suppliers, resolve issues etc. for new launches and ongoing business.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
