As an intern, you will be paired with a mid-to-senior level employee who will serve as your mentor. This mentor/mentee relationship is designed to foster a supportive environment where you can candidly discuss your career goals and aspirations. Our one-on-one informal mentoring approach fosters the development of professional relationships that complement your academic learning, enriching your overall internship experience.
As a Landscape Architect intern, you will work on a variety of project types including streetscapes, development site plans and park projects. Utilizing software such as CAD/LandFX and 3D modeling platforms will be incorporated into the role. Construction and project site visits will be planned during the 3-month internship to gain a wider perspective of installations. These experiences will provide insights into the profession, collaborative teamwork, and serving the needs of our clients.

- Must be computer literate in AutoCAD/LandFX, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. 3D rendering programs such as Sketchup are recommended.
- Candidate will work with a landscape architecture team and report to the head of the team who sits in Des Moines.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A general understanding of the field of landscape architecture and the ability to collaborate across discipline boundaries to support the delivery of solutions which meet client expectations is essential in order to successfully meet the requirements of this position.
- 4 years as a student of an accredited landscape architecture degree/program.
