Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company’s financial direction, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and financial analysis, to drive business growth.
- Establish key performance metrics and financial targets to assess progress and guide business decisions.
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, legal, tax, and treasury functions.
- Direct financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a growing finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the company’s insurance coverage is up to date, and manage all audits, tax filings, and compliance activities.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders, ensuring seamless financial operations.
- Oversee cash flow management, funding strategies, and maintain strong banking relationships to ensure financial stability.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 3-7 years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record in leadership roles. Experience supporting or working with an executive team in a growing organization is highly valued.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Manufacturing or family-owned business experience.
- Strong background in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- CPA or CGMA designation is a strong plus.
