Main Responsibilities
- Utilizes PLC/HMI skills and knowledge to resolve problems, contribute to the development of new processes, and maintain/improvement of existing equipment/processes.
- Completes PLC and HMI programming for production & facilities projects.
- Collects and analyzes data, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and established operating procedures for the site throughout the life of continuous improvement projects.
- Identify Improvement Opportunities in existing manufacturing operations
- Optimizes processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times.
- Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives.
- Identifies training needs and develops training and standard operating procedures for employees to ensure the effective use of continuous process improvement methodologies.
- Conducts safety audits and observations throughout the continuous improvement process, to ensure safe practices are not sacrificed by procedural changes or process modifications.

- Must be able to lead and or support facility System Commissioning and Qualification activities including generation of CTP, and system qualification.
- Must be able to support and have Knowledge in Facility Utility Systems that include day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the facility utilities, Cooling Tower, Chillers, Compress Dry Air, Air Handling Unit, Heating Hot Water Boiler, Electrical and process area improvements.
- Highly proficient in maintaining & troubleshooting the BMS, and EMS control systems.
- Develop and implement WI (Work Instruction), Standard Operation Procedure to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing & facility equipment.
- Must Support continuous improvement projects to improve the safety, robustness, and compliance of the manufacturing, facilities, and utilities equipment.
- Must be able to manage workload efficiently and identify spare parts requirements, provide training to entry-level mechanics and support staff, and maintain GDP and Compliance.
- Use data analysis to help analyze the root of the problem and potential problem by performing RCA and FMEA.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, i.e. Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, etc., or 10 plus years equivalent experience and education.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Reliability Automation Control Engineer management role, preferably working with injection molding equipment and machinery, automation, and/or robotics in a medical device manufacturing facility and fully automated assembly machines.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective predictive maintenance programs and managing maintenance staff.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance-leading practices, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate staff.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and ISO standards.
- Knowledge of Lean 6S & Six Sigma, Continuous cost reduction, OEE improvements, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Ability to manage all aspects of the complete Project cycle for Capex, upgrade, and cost improvement initiatives from feasibility, user requirements, bid specification, plant floor layout, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, validation, documentation support, production handover, and training.
- Extensive hands-on engineering experience with Production, Direct and Indirect systems.
- Working knowledge of the BMS and EMS systems. Interface with Facilities Engineering, Capital Project Management, Quality Assurance, QC, Regulatory Compliance, EH&S, and Manufacturing.
- Excellent in troubleshooting, analyzing, and solving problems with various electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls and systems.
