Position Overview: As a Driver Recruiter at SHOA Logsitics, your primary responsibility will be to aggressively source and recruit top-tier drivers who align with our company’s high standards for safety, performance, and reliability. We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of ensuring a well-rounded fit for our team, from skills and experience to values and safety history. Your role will be critical in building a workforce that not only excels on the road but also embodies our commitment to safety, professionalism, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively Source Candidates: Aggressively seek out qualified truck drivers through a variety of recruiting channels, including job boards, social media, referrals, industry events, and outreach programs.
- Evaluate Safety & Work History: Review candidate safety records, driving experience, and work history to ensure they meet our rigorous safety standards and operational needs.
- Conduct In-Depth Interviews: Engage with potential hires in thoughtful, thorough interviews to assess their experience, skills, compatibility with company culture, and commitment to safety.
- Ensure Cultural Fit: Assess driver candidates for compatibility with SHOA Logistics’ values and operational needs, focusing on reliability, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Onboard & Retain Top Talent: Work closely with the Recruiting and Capacity Departments teams to ensure smooth onboarding, ensuring new hires are set up for success and retention.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed and accurate records of all recruiting efforts, candidate evaluations, and hiring decisions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in recruiting, with a focus on transportation or the oil & gas industry preferred.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations, driver qualifications, and transportation laws.
- Strong ability to assess drivers' work history, safety records, and compatibility with company culture.
- Proven ability to effectively source and engage with diverse talent pools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
