Shodair is excited to be adding a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to our team at Warren Elementary School. The Behavioral Intervention Specialist provides direct care, supervision, monitoring, and interaction to students in a school based or educational setting, under the supervision of School Based Services Manager. Helps monitor and maintain a safe classroom and utilizes therapeutic communication skills.
The ideal Behavioral Intervention Specialist candidate is someone who:

- Enjoys teaching social skills and emotional regulation
- Able to work with patients of all different backgrounds
- Can be a role model to students and provide individualized care

Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a related field is preferred however a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with SED youth will also be considered.
- Criminal Records Background Check, Statement of Health, and drug test required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
- Successful completion of Medication Aide training upon hire.
