Custodian
SHOE SHOW, INC., the country’s largest privately held footwear retailer in business 64 years with more than 1,000 stores in 47 states, is seeking an experienced Custodian to join our team. This position is available at our Distribution Center, located at 2201 Trinity Church Rd in Concord, NC. Local candidates are encouraged to apply!
What you should know:
This individual will be part of a team responsible for all Custodial duties in the Distribution Center. They should be task-oriented, organized, and work efficiently with attention to detail.
What you will do:
· Perform general cleaning and upkeep for the distribution center.
· Ensure that the building and equipment are in clean, orderly, and functional condition.
· Clean breakrooms, restrooms, and offices.
· Sweep, vacuum, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility.
· Regularly check the trash, emptying as needed in all designated areas.
· Wipe down all kiosks and microwaves in the breakroom.
· Comply with all safety procedures and regulations.
· Perform all physical demands of the position including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, continuous walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Shifts:
· 2nd shift (4:00 PM to 3:30 AM) Monday - Thursday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Excellent work ethic, reliable, and punctual.
- Ability to communicate with others and report problems to correct personnel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be able to perform basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- High school diploma or GED.
