Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for retail, as you will be responsible for managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining an inviting shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring store goals are met.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock replenishment and loss prevention strategies.
• Train and onboard new employees, providing orientation and ongoing support to enhance team performance.
• Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team.
• Lead by example in sales management, actively engaging with customers to drive sales and enhance their shopping experience.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Utilize math skills for accurate cash handling, inventory management, and sales reporting.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and motivation strategies.
• Negotiate with vendors when necessary to ensure optimal product selection and pricing.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
• Proven skills in inventory control, sales management, cash handling, and team leadership.
• Strong ability to interview candidates effectively and conduct employee orientation sessions.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for the store.
• A solid understanding of retail operations, customer service principles, and effective communication techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
