Receptionist
Shoemaker Financial is seeking a Receptionist. This associate creates the first impression of our firm to our clients. A successful candidate will be friendly, personable, and service-oriented. They will foster a welcoming atmosphere for our clients, both in our lobby and on phone calls.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service for all clients, advisors, and staff
- Greet clients upon arrival and connect them with the appropriate party
- Answer all incoming calls and direct the caller to the appropriate associate
- Sort all incoming mail and distribute items to individual mailboxes in a timely manner. Maintain logs for checks and policies received. Meter outgoing mail.
- Manage conference room calendars and straighten rooms between meetings
- Assist with ordering office supplies as needed
- Assist with electronic logging, signing, and filing of documents.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure front desk coverage during planned absences
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
- Other duties as requested by management
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, high school diploma accepted
- 2 years’ experience as Receptionist or Administrative Assistant
- Good work ethic and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Enthusiastic, friend personality that works well in a fast-paced, small office
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Team player that is resourceful, creative, and results-oriented
- Knowledge of financial services industry, including annuities, insurance, brokerage, and investment accounts preferred
