Journeyman HVAC Service Technician

CSUSA Shoffner is currently seeking an HVAC Journeyman Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, modification and troubleshooting and maintenance of, chillers (air-cooled/water-cooled), boilers (water/steam), roof-top units and unitary HVAC equipment.

Your pay: $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Pay review annually. Your increases are based on your performance.

• Your main Tasks: 

  • Be safe! Safety is our #1 priority.
  • Maintain & troubleshoot Commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Service split systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX Systems, etc.
  • Test & replace parts using appropriate instruments.
  • Remain customer service focused.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed.

Experience or Certification needed: 

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary vocational or technical school diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited Institution required OR a recognized apprenticeship program, but not limited to service and operation.
• 5 years’ experience.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• EPA Certified

You need to be able to: 

• Keep it a Drug-free Workplace. 
• Be punctual and reliable. 
• Work 10-hour days and overtime when necessary.
• On call availability. On call is on a rotation.
• Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors. 
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. 
• Work efficiently in confined spaces. 
• Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
