What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Services Aide - Dishwasher position at Sholom Community Alliance?
The Nutrition Services Aide - Dishwasher operates industrial dishwashing equipment, performs kitchen clean-up and has contact with staff and vendors in the kitchen area.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Perform daily routine tasks involved in dishwashing and cleaning the food service area. Follow basic procedures and instructions.
a. Operate a dishwashing machine, processing 35-40 loads per day.
b. Operate garbage disposal.
c. Pre-rinse, spray and clean 1000 to 1500 dishes and utensils three times daily.
d. Use a 3-compartment sink (wash, rinse, sanitize).
e. Monitor and log dishwashing machine temperatures and ensure appropriate levels to meet regulations.
f. Monitor sanitation solution concentration levels daily.
2) Clean kitchen, equipment and utensils daily.
a. Wash and sanitize hundreds of utensils three times daily.
b. Sweep, scrub and mop floors.
c. Clean walls, cupboards and furniture daily/as needed.
3) Identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations, such as grease spills, burns, injuries and/or storm-related evacuations.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
