SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance Franchise Operations will oversee the financial and operational analysis aspects of our franchise portfolio. This position involves analyzing financial performance, creating financial proformas for new and existing locations, contributing to new product development efforts, establishing operational benchmarks, and managing critical financial operations such as monthly invoicing. The management of our franchise portfolio resembles that of most multi-location retail or fitness-based operations that manage facilities, revenue and staffing across a wide geographic area. Reporting directly to the executive team, this role is instrumental in ensuring the financial health and growth of our franchise network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
1. Franchise Portfolio Management:
o Provide actionable insights to both internal and franchise teams to support franchisee success and overall system growth.
o Develop and maintain detailed financial & operating reporting and analysis for the franchise portfolio identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
o Leads development of our Franchise Disclosure Document.
2. Leadership and Franchisee Support:
o Contribute to long-term planning, including assessments of market expansion, franchisee support initiative, and new product introductions.
o Provide financial guidance during franchisee onboarding and throughout the lifecycle of the franchise agreement.
3. Financial Proforma Creation:
o Collaborate with franchisees and internal teams to develop financial proformas for new locations and expansion projects.
o Conduct feasibility studies and sensitivity analyses to ensure informed decision-making.
4. New Product Development and Pricing
o Collaborate on new product development and introduction.
o Establish pricing for our equipment sales & manage our equipment gross margin level.
5. Operational Benchmarking:
o Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for franchise operations.
o Develop benchmarking tools to compare franchisee performance and identify best practices.
o Provide franchisees with performance improvement recommendations based on benchmarking results.
6. Financial Operations:
o Oversee the monthly invoicing process.
o Support budgeting and forecasting processes for the franchise network.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a franchise or multi-unit environment.
· Experience in directly leading and executing the planning and financial elements of multi-location operations (e.g., retail, fitness)
· Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and drive business decisions.
· Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with franchisees and internal stakeholders.
· Experience with our key operating systems is a plus: NetSuite (ERP); Monday (Project Management); Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PPT); Power BI; FranConnect; ProfitKeeper
· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
