Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery items.
- Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and provide accurate change.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Stock shelves with fresh baked goods and ensure proper product rotation.
- Assist in preparing bakery items as needed, following culinary guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management.
- Provide information about ingredients and dietary options to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Skills
- Experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Strong math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Ability to operate a cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
- A background in culinary arts is a plus but not required.
