Position Summary
The Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of legal matters related to the Company's shopping center portfolio including those listed below. The ideal candidate will have experience in the shopping center industry. You will be part of a dynamic team, collaborating with talented individuals from across the organization where everyone’s opinion is heard and valued.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage Legal workflow functions.
- Draft and negotiate lease amendments to modify or extend existing leases
- Draft and negotiate other agreements, including licenses, terminations, assignments
- Research relevant property documents (tenant leases, reciprocal easement agreements, etc.) and prepare memoranda regarding whether specific uses might violate such agreements.
- Update systems tracking restrictions and exclusives applicable to leases for reference by team and other users.
- Assist attorneys dealing with outside counsel, updating tracking programs.
- Additional responsibilities as needed or directed.
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with property and business law concepts
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management skills to be able to simultaneously create work product while remaining flexible to ongoing daily requests.
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple documents simultaneously, working under pressure and adhering to tight weekly deadlines.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be proactive and demonstrate initiative in projects and tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of integrity.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
