Starting pay is $18 / hour plus $2 Shift Premium
4-day Workweek 1 : 30 pm to Midnight

POSITION SUMMARY :
Fabricate eyewear in an efficient and timely manner. Provide quality products and services to stores. Perform key functions within the Finish Department efficiently, accurately and in detail. Ensure Optical Lab standards are followed, and service levels are maintained with the direction and guidance of the Production Manager – Finish

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
PRODUCTION OPERATIONS
Operate sophisticated optical manufacturing equipmentWork with specialized equipment and precision hand toolsAdjust lenses and frames to correct alignmentMount, secure and align finished lenses in frames or optical assemblies using precision hand toolsShape lenses appropriately for insertion into framesAssemble eyeglass frames and attach shields, nose pads and temple pieces using pliers, screwdrivers and drillsExamine prescriptions, work orders or broken or used eyeglasses to determine specifications for lenses, contact lenses or other optical elementsPerform functions to produce work that meets standards for quality and accuracyMaintain production output standardsPartner with team to continuously improve processesMAINTAIN SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Follow all company and lab policies and guidelinesAdhere to safety guidelines and OSHA regulationsEnsure machinery is operating effectivelyEnsure orders are fabricated only if a work ticket is providedFabricate all orders in accordance with the ANSI and company standardsUnderstand chemicals prior to useFollow Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDA) proceduresFollow lock-out tag-out and Haz Com proceduresPerform stretching before reporting to workstationMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
High School Graduate or equivalent preferredOptical experience a plus, but not requiredDemonstrate ability to learn and perform production related functionsStrong written and oral communication skillsInterpersonal skillsSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to multi-task and prioritizeESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS :
