Green Bay Shopko Optical Corporate Office- Onsite role
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from formulation to completion. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize project progression. Interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders and manage several projects simultaneously. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget and with the intended project goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROJECT ORGANIZATION & EXECUTION
- Lead project planning sessions
- Define main objectives of the project, its purpose, and its scope
- Collaborate with cross functional partners on companywide initiatives
- Facilitate relationships between teams, move process forward, find resources, predict roadblocks, suggest solutions, and rework schedules
- Manage changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Manage escalated situations as proactively as possible, involving management as needed
- Provide technical and leadership guidance and direction to ensure proper, timely completion of projects
- Develop executive level reviews and presentations. Able to present and communicate as needed
- Manage new product launch process
- Serve as liaison to cross-functional teams internally and externally at both corporate level and retail/lab level to ensure organizational goals are met
VENDOR PARTNERSHIP
- Maintain collaborative partnerships internally and externally and negotiate effectively with third parties/vendors
- Establish open communication lines to ensure third parties/vendors are aligned with company objectives
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance and develop improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met
- Review work of third parties/vendors to close contracts and pay invoices
- Understand industry changes and assess impact to Fielmann USA
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of results-oriented project management experience for multi-site retail, retail optical or big box chain
- Multi-site retail, retail optical, or big box chain preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred but not required
- Experience in strategic planning, operations, and change management
- Supervisory and management experience exhibiting strong leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to flourish in a matrix environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, financial aptitude, and business acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
- Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds
