Job Summary:
The primary function of the Project Manager is coordinating and managing all items, objects, parts, logistics and labor for a given project to ensure proper on-time and under budget completion of any Viking projects. A successful project is one that is delivered to the customer compete and exceeds their expectations of Viking.
Essential Functions:
- Learn all the functional areas of Viking Dispatch, Products, Parts, Field Service, Installs and Operations.
- Incorporate the knowledge of all the functional areas of Viking to create project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Execute project successfully from development to completion.
- Confer with customers as required for problem/solution resolutions.
- Meet regularly with team to discuss status, issues, concerns and updates on ongoing projects.
- Ability to manage and motivate multiple departments to work together towards project goals and objectives, while improving processes within the Company.
- Maintain positive working relationships with staff and company managers as well as all customers.
- Ensure all vendor, customer and department processes are documented and followed.
- Actively promote safety and the enforcement of safety rules and policies, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste or scrap parts and materials
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma; BA/BS and MS degree preferred
- 5 years work experience in Projects or industrial and service operations
- Demonstrated effective leadership experience to lead and motivate project members.
- Verifiable analytical skills and experience in making sound business decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of top managers, employees, executives, clients and customers
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
