The Role: We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing Team! This role will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. As a Buyer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process by supporting material and supply flow. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including receiving, parts clerks, vendors, and other teams across the company to ensure that the manufacturing floor is fully stocked and that orders are fulfilled on time.
This is a fully onsite position at our location in Lakeville, MN.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the flow of materials and supplies to ensure the manufacturing team is fully supported.
- Create and track purchase orders, monitor the status of orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with receiving and parts clerks to verify material accuracy upon arrival.
- Proactively manage inventory levels to ensure we maintain optimal stock without overordering.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and stay on top of order status to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Work closely with teammates across the company to resolve any supply chain or inventory issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Attention to Detail: Extreme organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Fluency in English is required.
- Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively across departments, while also working independently to solve problems.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to learn quickly.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and Outlook, with experience in inventory management and ERP software. (Epicor experience a plus!)
- Customer-Focused: Strong customer service skills, with a passion for helping clients find the right solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with purchase orders and receiving processes.
