POSITION SUMMARY :
Assist Equipment Manager with the day-to-day operations of the department's functions and duties. Coordinate the maintenance of all optical equipment in a timely, efficient and detailed manner. Provide quality service to the Optical Lab and Optical stores. Train Equipment Specialists as well as coordinate their daily work activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
OPERATIONS
Prepare trip itineraries for new, remodel or preventive maintenance store visits with consideration to new / remodel store timeline and to not interfere with Doctor schedules or affect budgeted expenses or payrollEnsure Optical store and Optical Lab equipment installations, maintenance and repairs are completed accurately, efficiently and at the most convenient timeAssist Equipment Manager in purchasing equipment for new and remodel stores as well as replacement equipment for Optical stores ensuring shipments arrive on schedule and within established budgetsEnsure accuracy of maintenance paperwork and record keepingPlan preventive maintenance to ensure timely completionSchedule adequate coverage to limit wait times for Optical stores and LabEnsure all areas of Optical Lab facility and grounds are properly maintainedFollow proper procedures when Optical Lab facility issues are reportedPerform equipment duties alongside Equipment Department teammatesTRAINING AND IMPROVEMENT
Ensure Equipment teammates have received applicable Optical Lab training to perform all aspects of their job including safe and efficient equipment operations in addition to work and safety procedures as outlined in their respective job descriptionEnsure Equipment team is up to date on product and part availabilityAttend vendor seminars for repair and preventive maintenance training on all new and automated equipmentEngage in on-going training along with Equipment team to diagnose a variety of equipment related issues.Provide manager with input for teammate's performance reviews and development plansPartner with teammates in Equipment Department to give performance feedbackRecommend or implement measures to motivate teammates and to improve morale, production methods, efficiency, equipment performance, productivity and product qualityMAINTAIN SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
