Job Description
Receptionist and Assistant to our Commercial Lines Department. You will report to the Commercial Lines Manager for your daily tasks. This job requires no prior insurance knowledge and you will not be interpreting, selling, or handling insurance coverage. We will train you on coverage interpretation over time if you have interest in working towards a different position within insurance over time. This is an in office position only, no remote work. No insurance license required. Salary listed is for full time. Full Time or Part Time [No Less Than 3 Days/week]

Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls professionally, route calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.. Assist in scheduling meetings with clients for our team. Input and update client data in system with accuracy. Pick up and drop off mail to post office/FedEx. Scan & disperse incoming mail to the correct team member after supervisor opens/sorts mail. Work closely with commercial team to support their administrative needs and ensure client inquiries are handled promptly. Assist in preparing materials for client meetings. Monitor payments due & nonpayment cancellation list - sending payment reminders, calling clients to take payment over phone, and notifying account manager promptly of accounts in danger of cancellation. Document Delivery, Data Entry, Sending Automated Email Reminders to Clients, Assisting Commercial Insurance Department with Basic Tasks That Do Not Require Coverage Interpretation or Handling. You will be trained on all of the above and given a procedure, auto-generated emails/letters to use to adhere to our standard or professionalism and quality of service our office provides to clients. You may be asked to run routine errands to pick up lunch or put gas in the owners vehicle.
Requirements
No insurance experience necessary. Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in speaking with people, including those you don't know. At your desk ready to work by 9:00am. If you are capable of starting 8:30am we are open to an 8:30am - 4:30pm position. Willingness to collaborate with others and contribute to a positive team dynamic. Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently. Excellent typing skills. Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities. Clear legible handwriting. Motivated, eager to learn, willing to take on challenges and projects. Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college is a plus. Clean driving record. Willing to be mentored in insurance procedures by our Commercial Lines Dept.
